📞 Monitor Boss's Call Status

With the Boss-Secretary feature enabled, you can set up function keys and configure the IP phones or IZT Cloud Voice clients to allow the secretary to check if the boss is currently holding a call, monitoring the boss's call status from the IZT Cloud Voice clients and IP phone.

Monitor Boss's Call Status on IZT Cloud Voice Clients

By setting up function keys for the secretary's extension, the secretary can monitor the boss's call status through IZT Cloud Voice Desktop Client, IZT Cloud Voice Web Client, and IZT Cloud Voice for Google.

Prerequisites

You must set up the Boss-Secretary Feature for Extensions.

Procedure

1. Log in to PBX web portal, go to Extension and Trunk > Extension.
2. Click Edit beside the boss extension.
3. Click the Features tab.
4. Enable the Boss-Secretary Feature and select the relevant Secretary Extensions.

5. Log in to the IZT Cloud Voice clients to review the updated structure.

Result

• The secretary can check the boss status using the function keys set in Features > Call Status:
• Available to resume call or status verifications with the configured function keys.

Monitor Boss's Call Status on an IP Phone

By setting up the boss's IP phone, monitoring structured verifying, and ensuring call status using the BLF LED:

Prerequisites

• Ensure the IP phone is connected to IZT Cloud Voice via auto provisioning and has been assigned to the boss extension.

Procedure

1. Log in to PBX web portal, go to Auto Provision > Phones.
2. Click Edit beside the boss's phone.
3. In the pop-up window, click OK.

Result

• The secretary can monitor the boss's call status through the BLF LED on their phone.

  • Solid Green: The boss is not handling any calls.
  • Flashing Red: The boss is on hold, waiting for the secretary to resume. The secretary can press the BLF key to resume the call.
