Notification on IP Phones

There are multiple ways you can use to monitor voicemail status on an IP phone.

Monitor Voicemail Status by Function Keys

Function keys can be used for monitoring the status of voicemail, including monitor your voicemail, other users’ voicemails, or group voicemails. It sets up easily: within seconds, the function keys show voicemail status, giving a notification like blinking a red light or a signaling indicator.

Monitor Voicemail Status by MWL

Message Waiting Indicator (MWI) is a commonly supported phone feature with instant notification on the new voicemail message. MWI typically shows initiation after a signal is received, and turns off when the voicemail is perceived.

Notification by Email

You can set up email notifications for extension users. When receiving a voicemail message, users can get an email with the message as a glance to see the caller's voicemail and other information sent to their email inbox.

Users no longer need to check the phone frequently, they don't need to pay attention to keep checking voicemail on the phone all the time. Email notifications expedite connectivity to messages leaving an update sign to respond accordingly.
