Extension Group Overview
IZT Cloud Voice supports adding specific extensions to a group, assigning user types to these extensions, and granting permissions to extension users with different user types.
What is Extension Group
An Extension Group is a collection of extensions with a common function or purpose. It allows users to easily find and manage colleagues within a group, and authorized users can control group member calls within the IZT Cloud Voice Web Client.
User Types in an Extension Group
A user type is a set of permissions that control users' access and usage of the Operator Panel. IZT Cloud Voice offers two default user types: Manager and User. These types can be assigned to group members.
Default User Types
- Manager: Assign this type to a leader, enabling them to manage members' calls.
- User: Assign this type to regular members. Whenever members are added to a group, they are assigned this type by default.

Note: Once enabled, the contacts matching results will be displayed on the Operator Panel call panel, regardless of users' visibility permission for company contacts.
Custom User Type
If you need to grant specific permissions to a member, you can assign customized user types. For more information, see View or change permissions for a member with custom user type.
Default Extension Group
IZT Cloud Voice includes a built-in group, Default_All_Extensions, which contains all extensions on the PBX. New extensions are automatically added to this group. You can delete or create additional groups to suit your needs.
