Configure Feature Codes

A feature code is a short sequence of digits that an extension user dials to activate or deactivate a phone system feature straight from the handset keypad, without opening any app or portal. Cloud Voice ships with a code for each supported feature. As an administrator you can turn individual codes on or off, remap them to different digits, and adjust how long the system waits between keypresses. Configure the codes

Sign in to the PBX web portal and open Call Features > Feature Code.
Set the Feature Code Digit Timeout (ms) value. This is the maximum gap, measured in milliseconds, that the system allows between one keypress and the next while a user is entering a feature code. If the user pauses longer than this limit, the system stops collecting digits and treats the entry as complete.

Give users enough time to dial. Too short a timeout cuts off slower dialers before they finish the code; too long makes the phone feel unresponsive after the last digit. A value in the low thousands of milliseconds (a few seconds) is a comfortable starting point.
Turn each feature code on or off:
- To enable a code, select its checkbox.
- To disable a code, clear its checkbox.
(Optional) Edit the digits of any code to suit your dial plan.

Every feature code must be unique and must not collide with your extension numbers or outbound dialing prefixes. A code that overlaps with those will either be intercepted as a feature or fail to trigger, so plan the digits before you change them. Whenever you remap a code, tell the affected users, because the old digits will stop working.
Click Save, then Apply.

Changes are not live until you click Apply. Saving alone stores the settings but does not push them to the running system.
