Configure Emergency Notification Prompt

When someone on your system dials an emergency number, Cloud Voice can alert your designated notification contacts with a spoken announcement. A built-in prompt is ready to use out of the box, and you can swap in your own recording whenever you prefer a different message.

The default announcement identifies the caller and states which emergency number they dialed, so notified contacts immediately know what happened and where.

  1. Sign in to the PBX (Private Branch Exchange) web portal and open Call Control > Emergency Number > Notification Contact.
  2. Click Notification Prompt.
  3. In the window that opens, adjust the prompt settings:
    1. From the Prompt drop-down list, pick one of the available prompts, or upload a recording of your own.

    2. In the Prompt Repeat Count field, enter how many times the announcement should play. Repeating it a few times helps ensure the contact catches the message.

    3. Click Save.
