Manage Custom Prompts

Once a custom prompt exists on your Cloud Voice system, you can maintain it at any time from the same place you created it. Use the steps below to record a fresh version, listen to what is stored, save a local copy, or delete a prompt you no longer need.

  1. Sign in to the Cloud Voice management portal.
  2. Go to PBX Settings > Voice Prompt > Custom Prompt.

Each prompt appears with an Operations column that holds the actions described below.

In the Operations column of the prompt you want to change, choose the action you need:

  • Re-record the prompt: Click Re-record, then pick the extension you want to record from. The system calls that extension so you can record a new version over the phone.
  • Play the prompt: Click Play, then choose whether to hear the audio on an extension or directly in your browser.
  • Download the prompt: Click Download to save the audio file to your computer.
  • Delete the prompt: Click Delete, confirm with OK, then click Apply to finish removing it.
