Add an Allowed IP Address

Cloud Voice enforces security rules that can automatically block suspicious traffic. If a source you trust risks being caught by those rules, add its IP (Internet Protocol) address or domain to the allowlist. Any entry on the allowlist is always permitted to reach the system.

  1. Sign in to the Cloud Voice web portal and go to Security > Security Rules > Allowed IPs, then click Add.

  2. In the Name field, give the rule a label you will recognize later.

  3. (Optional) Use the Description field to record why the rule exists or any other detail worth noting.

  4. Open the Type drop-down and pick how you want to identify the trusted source:

    • IP Address: enter the address in the IP Address field.
    • Domain: enter the domain in the Domain field.
  5. Click Save.

Once saved, Cloud Voice always accepts connections from the IP address or domain you allowed, regardless of the other security rules in place.
