Add an Emergency Notification Contact
Whenever someone on your phone system places an emergency call, Cloud Voice can automatically alert the people you designate, letting them know which extension dialed which emergency number. This helps on-site staff respond quickly and account for whoever placed the call. Follow the steps below to add a contact that receives these alerts.
Procedure
Section titled “Procedure”-
Sign in to the PBX (Private Branch Exchange, the platform that runs your phone system) web portal and navigate to Call Control > Emergency Number > Notification Contacts.

Click Add.

Open the Notification Contact field and choose who should be alerted:
- Specific Extension: Alert one particular extension, such as a front-desk receptionist. Pick the extension from the Specific Extension drop-down list.
- The Extension Group Manager of the Extension who dialed the emergency number: Alert whoever manages the extension group that the calling extension belongs to.
- Specific Group Manager: Alert the manager of a group you choose. Select that group from the Specific Group Manager drop-down list.
- Custom: Alert someone outside the phone system. Type their name in the Contact Name field.

Open the Notification Method field and choose how the alert is delivered:

Send Email: Cloud Voice emails the contact. See Configure Emergency Notification Email to review or customize the message.

Call Mobile: Cloud Voice dials the contact’s mobile number and plays an announcement. See Configure Emergency Notification Prompt to review or customize what the contact hears.

Call Extension: Cloud Voice dials the contact’s extension and plays an announcement. See Configure Emergency Notification Prompt to review or customize what the contact hears.

Click Save.
