Reset an Extension's User Password

Each extension has a user password that lets its owner sign in to the Cloud Voice management portal and the Cloud Voice App. If someone forgets this password and cannot recover it, an administrator can assign a replacement directly from the extension’s settings. There is no “email me a reset link” step here: you set the new password yourself and then pass it to the user.

  1. Sign in to the Cloud Voice management portal and open Extension and Trunk > Extension.
  2. Locate the extension you want to update, then click the edit icon Edit an extension on its row.
  3. Under User Information, clear the User Password field and type the new password.
  4. Click Save.

The user password is updated as soon as you click Save.
