Manage Call Rate Rules
Once you have created call rate rules, you can fine-tune them over time: change the order in which they are evaluated, update the charges they apply, or clear out rules you no longer need. All of these tasks live under the Rate tab in your call reports.
How rule order affects charging
Section titled “How rule order affects charging”For every outbound call, Cloud Voice reads the rate rules from the top of the list downward and applies the first rule that matches the call. Because only one rule ever charges a call, the position of a rule in the list determines whether it takes effect. Move your more specific or higher-priority rules toward the top so they are matched before broader ones.
Reorder call rate rules
Section titled “Reorder call rate rules”- Sign in to the PBX (Private Branch Exchange) web portal and open Reports and Recordings > Call Reports.
- Select the Rate tab. Use the ordering controls beside each rule to move it within the list:
Move to the top
Move up one position
Move down one position
Move to the bottom
- Click Apply to save the new order.
Edit a call rate rule
Section titled “Edit a call rate rule”-
Sign in to the PBX web portal and open Reports and Recordings > Call Reports.

On the Rate tab, click
next to the rule you want to change. -
Update the rule’s settings.

Click Save, then click Apply.
Delete call rate rules
Section titled “Delete call rate rules”- Sign in to the PBX web portal and open Reports and Recordings > Call Reports.
- Select the Rate tab.
- To remove a single rule:

to the right of the rule. - Click OK in the confirmation window.
- Click
- To remove several rules at once:
- Select the checkbox for each rule you want to remove, then click Delete.
- Click OK in the confirmation window.
