Cloud Voice App Login Overview

The Cloud Voice App desktop client gives you more than one way to sign in. You can authenticate with your extension account, or, if your administrator has connected the system to an outside identity provider, sign in with a third-party account instead. Choose whichever method matches how your account was set up.

Your extension account is the account tied to your phone extension on the system. It can get you into the desktop client in several ways. The quick options need no manual typing, while manual login lets you enter your details by hand.

  • Login link: When your administrator sets you up as a user, you receive a welcome email that contains a login link. Opening that link signs you in to the desktop client automatically, with nothing to type. See Log in with Extension Account Using a Login Link.
  • One-click login: If you are already signed in to the Cloud Voice App in your web browser (the web client), you can open the desktop client from there with a single click. See Log in with Extension Account by One Click.

Use manual login when you do not have a login link and are not already signed in on the web. Before you start, ask your administrator for:

  1. Your username and password.
  2. The server network details (such as the server address) so the client knows where to connect.

Enter this information in the desktop client to sign in. See Log in with Extension Account Using Manually Entered Credentials.

When your administrator has integrated the system with an external identity provider, you can sign in to the desktop client directly with that provider’s account. This uses single sign-on (SSO), meaning you reuse one existing account (for example your work Microsoft or Google account) instead of a separate voice password. The supported providers are:
