Automatically Switch Presence Based on Business Hours and Holidays

Your presence is the availability status colleagues see next to your name (for example Available, Lunch Break, or Off Work). Rather than updating it by hand each time you step away or clock off, you can have the Cloud Voice App set it for you based on the business hours and holidays your administrator has already defined for the account. This page walks through a typical setup.

Suppose your administrator has configured business hours and holidays on the phone system, and you want your presence to follow this schedule:

  1. Sign in to the Cloud Voice App (web) and open Preferences > Features.

  2. Under Time-conditional Presence Auto Switch, choose the presence to display for each time period. For the scenario above:

    • Business Hours: select Available.
    • Break Hours: select Lunch Break.
    • Holidays: select Off Work.
    • Outside Business Hours: select Off Work.
  3. Click Save.

From now on, your presence changes automatically as the account moves through its business hours and holidays. In this example, once the clock passes 18:00 your presence switches to Off Work.
