Configure AI Call Transcription
AI Call Transcription converts a two-party conversation into readable text as the call happens, then produces a summary once the call wraps up. The transcript captures the dialogue, highlights key points, and pulls out any to-do items, so you can review a call without listening to the recording. Use the steps below to turn on and tailor the feature in the Cloud Voice App on your desktop.
Before you begin
Section titled “Before you begin”Confirm the following are in place:
PBX server (PBX stands for Private Branch Exchange, the phone system that hosts your extension)
- The server firmware is version
84.20.0.74or newer. - Your administrator has switched on Call Transcription for your extension.
Cloud Voice App (Desktop)
- Your desktop app is version 1.15.3 or newer.
Turn on and configure transcription
Section titled “Turn on and configure transcription”-
Sign in to the Cloud Voice App, then open Preferences > AI.

Under Call Transcription, adjust the settings to suit how you work.

Setting What it does Automatic Call Transcription Transcribes every call in real time without any action from you. Leave it off if you would rather start transcription by hand for individual calls from the call screen, see Transcribe a Call. Show Transcription Text After the Call Pops open the transcript and summary automatically once the call ends. Language Sets the language used to transcribe your calls. -
Click Save.
What you get
Section titled “What you get”- Call audio is recognized and transcribed in your chosen language while the call is in progress, and a summary is produced automatically after the call ends.
- The AI-generated transcript and summary for each transcribed call are available in your call logs.
