Log in to the Desktop App with One Click

If you are already signed in to the Cloud Voice App in your web browser, you can open the desktop app from there in a single click. No username, password, or extension number is required the second time around. Your extension is the internal phone identity the system assigns to you (the number colleagues dial to reach you inside the company).

Note

One-click login reuses the session you already have open in the browser, so the desktop app opens signed in as the same extension. Because it depends on that active web session, you must stay signed in to the web app. If you have signed out, sign back in first.

Before you start

• Install the Cloud Voice App for desktop on your computer.
• Sign in to the Cloud Voice App in your web browser.

Launch the desktop app

1. In the browser-based Cloud Voice App, click on the top bar, then click .

   

   Your web browser then asks whether you want to allow it to open the application.

   Note

   This confirmation comes from your web browser, not from Cloud Voice, so the exact wording and buttons depend on which browser you use. The one-click control itself lives on the top bar of the web app.

2. Respond to the prompt:

   

   a. To skip this prompt on future launches, select the checkbox to always allow it.

   b. Click the button to open the desktop app.

   Tip

   Selecting the checkbox tells the browser to remember your choice, so the next launch opens the desktop app instantly without this prompt.

   Caution

   On a shared or public computer, leave the checkbox unselected. Once it is ticked, anyone using that browser can open the desktop app signed in as your extension.

You are signed in to the desktop app immediately, without entering any credentials.
